RACE CONCEPT
TranSierra Norte is a multi-day blind enduro race where advanced and expert riders from all over the world meet up to partake in the famous Mexican tradition known as “The Day of the Dead”.
Racing bikes along the North Mountain Range of Oaxaca, this event intends to push trail exploration and your skills to the limit.
Each year we open new tracks to race, while also supporting the less privileged rural communities of the Sierra Norte and Sierra Sur, promoting the culture and festivities in the region.
You will enjoy a bike party packed with an authentic Mexican flavor.
RACE FORMAT
Blind enduro racing: Based on the “Enduro” racing protocol this race will be an individual race with 16-22 timed stages with an average of 90% descending and the other 10% will be a mix of flat sections and short climbs.
Some of the transitions will be pedaling while others will be shuttle assisted.
Expect long days, at high altitude, with different kinds of weather, from rainy nights to heat and sun during the day; you should be prepared for the unexpected…
Each day after you finish, you will get the results of the stages raced.
